Lynas and Andromeda reshuffle leadership

Pilbara Minerals

Lynas Rare Earths and Andromeda Metals have both announced leadership shakeups with sweeping changes across the board.

Lynas Rare Earths

Lynas chairman Kathleen Conlon has announced her intention to retire from the board as chairman and independent non-executive director, effective from the conclusion of the company’s annual general meeting on November 29 2023.

Conlon has been a non-executive director of Lynas for 12 years and chairman for the past three years.

John Humphrey, an independent non-executive director since May 2017, has been elected to succeed Conlon in the role of chairman.

“It’s been a privilege to have been part of Lynas’ development from new entrant to significant rare earths player. I’m incredibly proud of this company and its team,” Conlon said.

“When re-elected at the 2022 AGM, I noted this would be my final term on the board and I am confident that now is the right time to commence an orderly transition.”

Lynas chief executive officer and managing director Amanda Lacaze said Conlon’s expertise and guidance have been essential to the company’s development.

“As chairman, she has provided me with expert counsel as we have faced both challenges and opportunities and I will miss her presence on our board both professionally and personally,” she said.

Andromeda Metals

Andromeda has announced Pascal Alexander-Bossy as its new chief financial officer, commencing November 20 2023.

The company described Alexander-Bossy as an experienced commodity and mining finance professional with extensive international and Australian cross-commodity and cross-product experience.

Additionally, the company advised that James Marsh is resigning as a director of the company, effective today, but will continue in his sales and marketing role with the company.

“The board would like to thank James for his deep commitment to the advancement of the company, initially in his capacity as managing director from 2018, followed by his recent appointment as an executive director earlier this year,” the company said.
