The 10th annual International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) has officially kicked off in Sydney, with over 8500 attendees ready to learn, collaborate and network.
Day one will include a bumper lineup of speakers, including senior leaders from major miners BHP, Fortescue, Yancoal, MMG and Wyloo.
There will also be panels held on the China-Australia relationship and the role of the US in the world’s critical minerals supply.
Features of the event include digital transformation, AI (artificial intelligence) and big data, mine closure and rehabilitation, hydrogen and renewables and lesson from space.
IMARC chief operating officer Anita Richards said the 2023 event is the ideal opportunity for countries to attract investment, showcase their expertise and engage with mining and METS (mining equipment, technology and services) companies, investors and suppliers to collaborate and develop business opportunities.
“For its part, Canada has a great story to tell as a stable and attractive destination for global investment in the resources the world needs for a cleaner future, and the expertise and leadership it can offer to a transitioning global industry,” Richards said.
“IMARC is designed to provide a forum to explore these opportunities and to showcase the best and latest knowledge, innovation and growth that benefit the whole value chain.
