457(b) Plan
A 457(b) plan is a tax-deferred retirement savings plan available to local government workers and some employees of nonprofit organizations. It’s similar to a 401(k) plan, but one that’s available to local firefighters, law enforcement officers, municipal employees, and other civil servants.
