Buxton Resources has announced that its joint venture partner IGO has completed a second diamond drill hole at the Dogleg prospect.
This second drill hole has intersected 2.85m of semi-massive sulphide copper-nickel-cobalt mineralisation from 233.65m.
This follows massive sulphide mineralisation intersected in the maiden drilling program at the Dogleg prospect in early October where 6.57m of massive sulphides were intersected at from 179.1m, within a 14.7m zone of mineralisation from 176.45m.
The nickel and copper sulphides discovered from both drill holes are supported by portable x-ray fluorescence analysers (pXRF). Drilling at the Dogleg prospect was targeting a 280m x 75m, 12,000 Siemen ground electromagnetic conductor.
The second drill hole from early October has been completed and downhole electromagnetic surveying is scheduled to be completed in the upcoming week, which will conclude field activities for the season in the West Kimberley, Western Australia.
Its assays results are expected within the next 4–8 weeks, and assay results from the second drill hole are anticipated to be ready within 2–4 weeks.
The Dogleg deposit is located approximately 13km northwest of the previously identified Merlin nickel-copper project the West Kimberly, WA.
