Juno Minerals’ Mount Ida lithium project in WA has returned significant results from two phases of soil sampling.
The soils were sampled using the prospectively index, with a total of 10 areas of interest delineated from the index within the anomalies.
The anomalies were first found in September of this year. Both were found to be 1000m long and up to 500m wide, trending north-south.
“The Mount Ida lithium prospect adds to the company’s projects in the central Yilgarn which is prime in an emerging lithium province,” Juno Minerals said at the time.
According to Juno Minerals, this has further refined the drill targets while prioritising areas of interest.
BMGS, consulting geologists from Kalgoorlie, are currently on the ground at the project to refine drill positions and executive an effective drill campaign.
“Further recommendations from the geochemical review were to undertake additional soil sampling programs on the Mount Ida mining lease in the north of the current anomalous areas and the Mount Mason mining lease,” Juno Minerals said.
“The lithium prospectivity on Juno’s Central Yilgarn tenure is very encouraging with an immediate drilling program being planned and an expanded soil testing program and evaluation of its tenure has been recommended in an emerging lithium area of interest along the Mount Ida fault.”
