Ryan Smyth, Managing Director & Mining Solution Provider, Stratium Group
Ryan is a respected business leader, with over 17 years of experience, working in Australia, Middle East, Myanmar, China, Kazakhstan, and the United Kingdom. Ryan has a solid technical background as a Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Waste Manager, and Chartered Environmental Manager. He has a passion for technology and helping miners. In addition to this, Ryan has been privileged to have attended some of the world’s best business schools to study their applications including MIT, INSEAD, and Harvard.
Luke Mortimer, Exploration Manager, Kalamazoo Resources Limited
Luke is a geologist with over 25 years’ experience in exploration and mining at various locations across Australia, China, Africa and the Americas. He has served the majority of his experience as Geoscientist-Technical Leader with WMC Exploration Division as well as Principal Exploration Geologist with MMG exploring for copper, nickel, zinc and gold. During this time, he also gained valuable underground mining experience (4 years) at WMC’s (now BHP) world-class Olympic Dam and Perseverance mines in Australia. Over the years he has successfully implemented and managed numerous multi-million-dollar grassroots exploration programs worldwide. Luke holds a BSc (Honours) and a PhD in geology.
