kemerton, lithium, albemarle, WA

Neal Sheorey will join Albemarle as its executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) from November 6.

Albemarle’s current executive vice president and CFO Scott Tozier will become a strategic advisor to the chief executive officer once Sheorey joins the company.

Albemarle chief executive officer Kent Masters thanked Tozier for his work.

“Scott’s steady leadership, strategic market knowledge and extensive financial acumen have driven Albemarle’s growth strategy for more than a decade,” Masters said.

“Most importantly, Scott’s enduring commitment to our core values and his unwavering belief in Albemarle’s mission and vision are distinguishing characteristics that will continue to serve the company in this new advisory role.”

Sheorey has been in corporate leadership rolls at global materials science company Dow for over two decades, most recently serving as vice president of the coatings and performance monomers business unit.

Prior to this role, Sheorey was the vice president of investor relations, the senior director of corporate development and the global finance director for the chemicals business group.

“Neal’s management and financial experience, coupled with his experience in global and capital-intensive environments, will be valuable additions to our leadership team,” Masters said.
